Founded in 1929, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) is the premier society for property economics professionals who provide:
1. Farm management, agricultural consultation, and marketing for the full range of agricultural and livestock operations.
2. Appraisal services for all types of rural properties (agricultural, livestock, commercial, timberland, conservation easements, government properties, etc.) and business valuation, litigation work, valuation consultation and appraisal review.

The ASFMRA has four professional designations: the Accredited Farm Manager - AFM, the Accredited Rural Appraiser - ARA, the Real Property Review Appraiser - RPRA and the Accredited Agricultural Consultant - AAC. Designated members meet even more stringent
standards that include all the following:
Education
Designation education requirements substantially exceed all state licensing requirements and are on par with the most exacting requirements of all other similar professional * review
Submission of sample work is reviewed to ensure the knowledge and competence of the designation *rehensive Exam
Accredited members pass a comprehensive professional examination - much like the Bar Examination for lawyers.
Experience
The ASFMRA upholds the highest requirements for experience in the industry.
Continuing Education
Accreditation is contingent on continuing education requirements to ensure continued professional competence in an ever-changing world. Read more
